Riverwest Fest is for the children
This weekend's festival will raise money for all-ages venue
If you follow The A.V. Club Milwaukee on Twitter and Facebook—c’mon, dudes, get on the ball here and here—you’ve probably noticed that we’ve been talking up this weekend’s Riverwest Fest. We’ve even been giving away tickets. (Sorry, you’re too late. Now don't you feel bad about working during the day instead of following us via our handy social media channels?) Our pal Evan Rytlewski of the Shepherd Express has posted a lineup for the two-day, multi-venue festival, which is a fundraiser for shuttered all-ages venue the Eagle’s Nest (825 E. Center St.), which needs to be brought up to code before it can reopen. Passes are currently on sale for $15 for two days, $10 for one day, and $5 per show at a variety of businesses, including Beans And Barley, Fuel Café, Sky High, and Jackpot Gallery.
