Stream, download, or pre-order the new Fatty Acids album, Leftover Monsterface

When we last left The Fatty Acids, they had just released the first single from their upcoming album, Leftover Monsterface, and were trying to get some scratch together for a summer tour. But let’s leave the not-at-all-divisive issue of Kickstarter campaigns behind for a moment, and focus on what’s important: the music, man. The band has gone ahead and released Monsterface online, in its entirety. You can stream it, download it (for free!), or pre-order a copy of the CD at the group’s Bandcamp site. Or you can just listen to it here. Do it. Now.

First impressions? It’s good, really good, and a step up from 2010’s Stop Berries, Berries, And Berries, Berries. Like the Acids’ live shows, it’s big, raucous, and gloriously scatterbrained. We’ll have a more detailed review next week, just in time for the first night of the inaugural Riverwest MishMash Fest, which The Fatty Acids will headline July 29.
