Just Announced Taylor Swift and Keith Urban headed for Milwaukee

Taylor Swift

It’s not all about cool-kid music here at The A.V. Club. We like to stay true to our blue-collar roots by also tuning in to gritty country music made by singers who look like cast members of a semi-successful CW dramas. The Journal Sentinel reports today that none other than America’s sweetheart/most celebrated spiteful ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift has a show scheduled for Milwaukee on June 8; a venue hasn’t been announced yet, but it most certainly will be the Bradley Center or Marcus Amphitheater. (The Brewers play a game at Miller Park on the date.) Swift will be touring in support of the mega-selling Speak Now, a record we like with some reservations.

The other country superstar headed to Milwaukee is Keith Urban, who descends on the Bradley Center on Oct. 13 to support the new Get Closer. Tickets don’t go on sale until 10 a.m. March 12; head to Urban’s website for updates in the weeks ahead.
