The Avett Brothers are moving on up to the Riverside Theater
The band's March 6 show at Turner Hall moved to larger venue
The Avett Brothers appear to be making the move from cult act to successful mainstream juggernaut thanks to the success of 2009’s Rick Rubin-produced I And Love And You—at least they are in Milwaukee, where the band’s scheduled March 6 show at Turner Hall has been moved to Riverside Theater due to “unreal demand,” says venue spokesman Ryan Matteson. The addition of opener The Low Anthem—whose Oh My God Charlie Darwin was one of last year’s most acclaimed debuts—might have added to excitement for the show, but the Avetts have long been a big concert draw. At any rate, it sounds like fans that haven’t already bought tickets might want to act quickly. They cost $25 and are available at the Pabst and Riverside box offices.
