The Brewers get their own reality show

Do Casey McGehee and Corey Hart chew the same brand of tobacco? Does Ryan Braun sleep in a Remetee? Is Ken Macha actually the most boring android ever created? These are just some of the burning questions we have about the “real” Milwaukee Brewers that we hope are answered by The Homestand—Milwaukee, a one-hour documentary airing at 8 p.m. Tuesday on ESPN, the Journal Sentinel reports. The show was filmed in early June and follows the Brewers on the field during stands against the Cubs and Rangers, as well as off the field. Says the JS:
Producers of the show were allowed access to any place in Miller Park - the clubhouse, the training room, the dining room and the executive offices, as well as off-site, including players’ homes. Players and team officials wore microphones during meetings, in the training room, at batting practice, during games and at home.
Barnes said the only ground rule was the Brewers did not want anything to air that would compromise a competitive advantage. For example, the Brewers’ pitching game plan against particular Rangers hitters could not be shown.
Barnes said there was no Brewers player who declined to participate.
“It was intensive,” Barnes said. “It was a lot of fun. We really, really enjoyed it. There was a lot of logistical organization. The players were awesome. Without them buying into it, then this doesn’t work. And they were absolutely spectacular.”
Somebody called the 2010 Brewers spectacular? Now we really have to watch.
