Nearly every Wednesday at noon, Ryan Schleicher of WMSE, Evan Rytlewski of the Shepherd Express, and Matt Wild of The A.V. Club Milwaukee take to the WMSE airwaves to discuss all things Milwaukee. The half-hour fun-fest is called The Disclaimer, so titled because none of the sometimes cranky and ridiculous opinions expressed during the show represent those of the three hosts’ employers. Milwaukee music, Milwaukee art, Milwaukee events, and D.I.Y. lawn care tips are frequently discussed—and rarely agreed upon.

Nestled quietly in the $278 million Hoan Bridge rehabilitation project is a plan to install decorative LED lights on the bridge’s arches—something that doesn’t sit well with folks who balk at spending $500,000 - $1 million on “mood lights.” Ryan, Evan, and Matt discuss the mini-controversy, and also dive into Milwaukee’s seemingly arbitrary cap on taxi permits, and what some recent developments might mean for the city’s cab culture. Finally, the ongoing issue of who should pay for a new downtown arena is brought up, and everyone agrees that Matt would make a lousy politician and that Ryan needs to love Milwaukee just a little bit more.
