The Moth In Milwaukee announces storytellers
Riverwest's Claire Moore and The Onion's Todd Hanson are named the local "everymen"
Decider recently reported that The Moth In Milwaukee coming up June 6 at Turner Hall would feature Andy Borowitz as host, Madison’s Tom Farley, and a handful of unnamed New York storytellers, plus one local everyman. Well, The Moth has found its local everyman, er, woman: Riverwesterner and pilates instructor Claire Moore. According to The Moth, Moore will recount how she and her high school friends “restored Milwaukee’s iconic lakefront Love Rock in the late ’70s.” Show of hands—who knows what the Love Rock is? That story is probably worth the admission price alone, but there’s even more to tell. Decider is also looking forward to seeing The Onion’s story editor Todd Hanson describe how, “despite his best intentions, he accidentally became successful.” Other storytellers announced include New Yorkers Michaela Murphy and Ed Gavagan, who will talk about spying on the Kennedys and a run-in with the Latin Kings, respectively.
