Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow are probably going to have to die before The Posies get any respect, but we know better at The A.V. Club. The Posies are one of the finest power-pop bands of the last 20 years, which was evidenced by Auer and Stringfellow playing with the re-formed Big Star before Alex Chilton's death this year. The A.V. Club will be welcoming The Posies and support acts Brendan Benson and Aqueduct when they play Nov. 5 at Turner Hall. Tickets are $20 and go sale at noon Friday.
