Newswire The Promise Ring announces string of weekend-warrior reunion shows for summer

Still glowing from a pair of reunion shows earlier this year, Milwaukee band The Promise Ring has announced a smattering of additional dates scheduled for the summer. In keeping with TPR 2.0’s proudly embraced “dads-in-bands” image, most of the gigs fall on weekends, giving classic lineup members Davey Von Bohlen, Dan Didier, Jason Gnewikow, and Scott Schoenbeck plenty of time to catch up on all of their lawn-related and home-care chores. Is it weird to think that cleaning rain gutters to “Make Me A Mixtape” sounds like a good idea?

Here’s the full list of summer dates, including a previously announced show at Milwaukee’s Summerfest on June 28. A rarities collection on Dangerbird Records will follow in the fall.
