Transformers 3 will film in Milwaukee (and you can be in it if you're a "trendy, executive type")
A few days after Wisconsin’s controversial film incentives program was gutted, a huge Hollywood production has announced plans to shoot in Milwaukee. Transformers 3 will arrive in town the week of July 12 to film sequences at the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Tower Automotive site, according to a release sent by Visit Milwaukee. Some of the film’s stars “may” be in Milwaukee for the shoot, the release says, and they’ll be filming “a pivotal scene” in the movie. It’s estimated that several days of Transformers 3 filming will dump more than $1 million into local businesses, and will likely employ local students as production assistants. In addition, there will be a casting call for paid extras taking place June 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center (509 W. Wisconsin Ave.). Specifically, they’re looking for "trendy, executive types." It also helps if you can look really freaked out while reacting to a green screen.
