U2 plans return to Chicago, skips Milwaukee
The band adds another leg to its world tour but still can't plot a local stop
More Just Announced
U2 will be back on the road this summer, but the Irish laddies still have no time for Milwaukee. According to the band’s website, U2 will be back at Chicago’s Soldier Field for a show July 6, and skipping our town. The most hopeful local fans might take some solace in the fact that there’s a three-day lag between the band’s tour stops in Vancouver and Chicago, and note that Miller Park is currently open July 4. So, theoretically, a show could be booked in Milwaukee if all parties were willing and able. But … no, it’s probably not going to happen. But, hey, Chicago isn’t that far away, right?
