Aerosmith, PrideFest, a violinist, and a street party walk into a bar ...

Decibully performs at the Locust Street Festival Of Music And Art.

Expect Aerosmith to play "Walk This Way" tonight at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, along with all the old favorites from the band's back catalog. Old favorites are pretty much all Aerosmith has these days. (Apologies if you were a fan of the band's half-baked and atrociously titled 2004 covers collection Honkin' On Bobo.) A new record is supposedly coming later this year, but Decider isn't expecting Toys In The Attic.  Still, Aerosmith shows no sign of letting up on its wholesale domination of the legacy-rock circuit, and while Steven Tyler’s creepiness only gets stronger with each passing year, it hasn’t seemed to keep people from wanting to hear weathered old men bang out randy rock classics.

Over at the Summerfest grounds, PrideFest continues today and Sunday. Brandy is the Saturday headliner, and Etta James will close things out tomorrow. Other entertainment includes the crowning of Mr. and Miss PrideFest, dancing, kid's activities, and panel discussions. Look for food from Riviera Maya and Mader's, among others, and nightly fireworks. Decider will be there, so be sure to stop by and say hello.

Milwaukee experimental ensemble Present Music carries on with its mission of bringing innovative musicians to town tonight at Turner Hall with a concert featuring master Indian violinist Kala Ramnath. Considered to be one of the best musicians currently working in North Indian classical music, Ramnath is celebrated for the vocal-like quality of her playing, which has been dubbed “singing violin.” Present Music will also perform a program of music by Philip Glass, Terry Riley, and Michael Nyman.

On Sunday the Locust Street Festival Of Music And Art returns to Riverwest for the 33rd year. Locust Street has long been one of Milwaukee’s best block parties, offering up attractions that are as diverse as the neighborhood that spawned it. The 1.8-mile beer run/walk is one of the most popular events, drawing hundreds of participants who stumble their way to beer stops in and around Riverwest. There’s also a Scrabble tournament, a used-book sale, and five stages of music featuring more than 20 bands, including Decibully, The Championship, Wizard Of Cause, and The Candeliers.
