White Rabbits at Turner Hall
The New York indie rock band visits Nov. 10

More Just Announced
With surf guitars, apocalyptic vocals, and tropicalia flourishes, White Rabbits’ 2007 debut, Fort Nightly, hit New York indie-rock’s sweet spot more surely than any act since The Walkmen or even The Strokes. Where The Walkmen wander toward barrelhouse blues, however, White Rabbits double up on singers and drummers and add hints of calypso and ska. They’re also always up for rock dramatics, as evidenced on this year’s It’s Frightening, the Britt Daniel-produced bête noire that marks the Rabbits’ rapid ascension to major players. The band will visit Turner Hall Nov. 10—tickets are $12 in advance ($14 the day of the show) and go on sale at noon Sept. 11.
