Youngblood theater production canceled after actor is attacked Saturday
Andrew Edwin Voss remains in critical condition
Youngblood Theater Company is one of the more exciting young theater groups to start up in Milwaukee in recent years, so The A.V. Club is especially sad to report that its latest production Red Light Winter has been canceled. Worse, the show’s run has come to a premature close because Youngblood performer and co-founder Andrew Edwin Voss was injured in a violent attack on Saturday. He remains in critical condition. Ticket-buyers can get refunds from Alchemist Theatre or donate the money for Voss’ medical expenses. You can also make donations at the Alchemist website, or attend a fundraiser at the Bay View theater at 7 p.m. Jan. 29.
UPDATE: The Journal Sentinel has more details about what happened to Voss, who apparently was attacked at a house party after Saturday's performance. Read more here.
