What started out as a likeably cheesy lark for a group of local musicians to trot out during the holidays has turned into a popular touring draw that keeps the band booked for much of the year. Combining swanky, ironic showmanship—they pledge to “spread their aural pleasure like jelly all over your biscuits”—and rock-solid musicianship is a can’t-miss formula, and the Studs deliver every night like a self-respecting lounge act should.
