Ace Frehley at The Northern Lights Theater At Potawatomi Bingo Casino
Would Kiss have been more than a traveling biker clown show without Ace Frehley on lead guitar? Well, Kiss continues to look cheesier and cheesier as it tours without him, but the influential Frehley sounds like he's rediscovering a young man's hunger on his first solo album in 20 years, Anomaly. Kicking off with "Foxy & Free," Anomaly's too fun and ballsy to be lumped in with other senior classic-rockers' slouch-back efforts. Frehley's not trying much new, and he overdoes it here and there (Frehley and his daughter Monique literally talk about angels during the bridge of the clean-and-sober ballad "A Little Below The Angels"), but most of the new songs should fit nicely with the generous helping of Kiss tunes promised at this show.
