Brain Tumors, Total Trash, Strange Matter, and Soup Moat at Quarters Rock 'N Roll Palace
Minneapolis’ Brain Tumors describe themselves as “graceless and barbaric hardcore punk,” though that gives short shrift to the band’s ability to be pummeling while remaining surprisingly tuneful. Songs like “Self-Server” and “Rules Of Abuse” won’t be mistaken for easy listening anytime soon, but they still stand as tight, well-constructed slabs of hardcore that are miles above most all-ages, sweaty-basement hardcore. Live, expect a short set and plenty of broken equipment.
