Chris Isaak at The Northern Lights Theater At Potawatomi Bingo Casino
Perhaps that old joke should be updated to predict that after the apocalypse, we’ll be assured the existence of these three commodities: cockroaches, Cher, and Chris Isaak. His breakout single, “Wicked Game,” and the sassy accompanying beachside music video all but telegraphed his status as a one-hit wonder back in 1991, but Isaak has proven himself an unstoppable force incapable of slowing down. When not recording a half-dozen or so albums since then, the slick-haired Californian smartly aspired to longer shelf life by continuing to take cameo roles in a variety of films, everything from Silence Of The Lambs to Married To The Mob. Now comes word he may take Simon Cowell's vacated seat on American Idol. Still, Isaak hasn’t lost interest in his music: He released a studio album, Mr. Lucky, in 2009, and he's out now behind the new Live At The Fillmore.
