Just a few years ago, Chris Tucker was part of a major film franchise with Jackie Chan, drawing upwards of eight figures per film and almost guaranteeing a movie’s success. Then, somehow, he fell off the face of the earth. Now, he’s going back to his humble beginnings behind a mic, touring around the U.S. doing stand-up. It’s anyone’s guess as to whether his solo chops are still strong, but this tour gives audiences a chance to see what has happened to a former mega-star. Anyone able to walk away from a spotlight that bright should have something interesting to say. Hopefully he’ll embrace his enigmatic status, though there’s always the chance that he’ll just rant on as if nothing happened.
