The Fatty Acids, Kane Place Record Club, Sat. Nite Duets, and Rio Turbo at Linneman's
Milwaukee’s tireless Fatty Acids have become fixtures of the local music scene as of late, thanks in part to a constant stream of boisterous, high-energy shows. The group’s 2010 debut, Stop Berries, Berries, And Berries, Berries is a terrific album full of songs that lament problems both personal and political with quirky, psych-synth eccentricity. The band will celebrate the release of its new full-length, Leftover Monsterface, at tonight’s show; if lead-off single (and live favorite) “Creature” is any indication, it should be an album to contend with. But as good as the Acids are on record, it’s best to see them in a live setting. Thankfully, with the band’s busy schedule being what it is, that shouldn’t be too hard.
