Putting that theorem to the test (and just trying the patience of everyone else), Dallas’ Forever The Sickest Kids triggered a major-label bidding war with its cloying “Hey Brittany.” Universal Motown won the rights to release the group’s 2008 debut album, Underdog Alma Mater, a slick collection of Fall Out Boy-lite anthems that gained the band plenty of new fans. In November, the band will release The Weekend, Part 1: Friday, the first of a trilogy of EPs.
