Gunslingers, Aluminum Knot Eye, and Cry Coyote at Frank's Power Plant
Against all odds, Milwaukee blues-punks Aluminum Knot Eye have stuck together for more than a decade without losing their supremely sloppy swagger. Starting out as a self-described “masturbatory” home-recording project for singer-guitarist Keith Vercauteren, Aluminum Knot Eye’s wildly drunken live shows have gotten the group blacklisted from more than one local venue, though it has long been a fixture at Riverwest punk-rock bar Circle A. AKE hasn’t been terribly prolific in the studio, but fans were treated to a new 7-inch in January.
