The Insecurities, Truth In Fiction, A Kidnap In Color, Verona Grove, The Fastest Kid Alive, Mathletes, and You'll Love Me Tomorrow at Miramar Theatre

Storied Chicago outfit Lucky Boys Confusion remains in a state of suspended animation, but its mainstream guitar pop meets ska-punk lives on via frontman Stubhy Pandav’s newer group, The Insecurities. The name is firmly tongue-in-cheek, as the group boasts some of Pandav’s most vulnerable and serious lyrics to date, though The Insecurities haven’t sacrificed pogoing fun in the name of being meaningful. Late last year the group released the tight debut EP Ban The Kiss Hello: A Social Commentary, following it up with a new debut album, Show Your Teeth. LBC naysayers won’t be won over by The Insecurities, but they won’t be able to argue with the group’s pop sensibilities either, nor will they be able to hold still while listening.
