Lamb Of God garnered a Best Metal Performance Grammy nomination for 2006’s Sacrament, which trafficked in such lyrics as “You’ll never be one of our kind / this ain’t yours, fuck you, don’t try.” Fresh off a tour opening for Metallica, the band recently released its third major-label album, Wrath, which nicely ups the production quality without sacrificing the frantic thrashing and ferocity. The group is joined here by GWAR, the cartoonish metal act whose entertainment value is proportional to how close you are to Halloween.
