MAM After Dark: Warhol at Milwaukee Art Museum
Andy Warhol’s oft-repeated line about how everyone will be famous for 15 minutes isn’t really true for the man himself, who’s managed to stay famous much longer than that, even 20 years after he died. The Milwaukee Art Museum’s highly anticipated Andy Warhol: The Last Decade exhibit features work that Warhol did near the end of his life—including filmed portraits of Dennis Hopper, Salvador Dali, and Lou Reed—as well as his landmark 1966 film Chelsea Girls, which was his first big commercial success. The museum’s monthly MAM After Dark offers an early look at the exhibit, and should be a hot ticket.
