Mississippi Cactus at Cafe Lulu
Mississippi Cactus never broke up, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the band’s recent tour schedule. This show will be the Milwaukee blues-rock combo’s first in nine months, and even before that, gigs were getting fewer and farther between. Together since the mid-’90s, the Cactus needed to take some time off to get their batteries recharged, with the band members playing in other local groups like the Andrew Gelles Band, Whiskey Bound, and Stealin’ Strings. Now MC is working on new material and talking about releasing an album it recorded a few years ago but never released.
