The Moth StorySLAM: Unintended at Miramar Theatre
Since its founding more than a dozen years ago, The Moth has grown from a small gathering of friends telling stories in a New York apartment to a multi-platform series with a popular podcast, radio show, workshops, and recurring storytelling events in multiple cities. The conceit is simple: People tell stories live without notes, based on a predetermined theme for the event. Names of willing participants are drawn at random for the chance to speak, and the odds of getting onstage can be slim. But people who just want to hear stories (usually funny, sometimes sad) will find plenty to enjoy. Tonight’s theme should be a good one: “Unintended.”
