Myles Coyne And The Rusty Nickel Band, Lady Cannon, and Old Earth at Linneman's
For regular Milwaukee show-goers, it’s been nearly impossible not to run into the tireless Lady Cannon. The group has been a favorite on the local club circuit for the past two years, thanks in part to the strong songwriting and enchanting vocals of singer Martha Cannon. Songs like the banjo-laden “When You’re Gone” and the dreamy “Still In Love” are Americana-by-way-of-Mazzy Starr done right. The fact that Cannon and her band have yet to release a full-length album is hardly important, though a disc entitled Whiskey Dear is expected soon.
