New Found Glory, Title Fight, Fallen From The Sky, and Now You Have Audio at The Rave/Eagles BallroomThe Rave/Eagles Ballroom 2401 W Wisconsin Ave, Milwaukee, WINothing Gold Can Stay, the 1999 debut by New Found Glory, marked a turning point in emo. Whereas bands like The Promise Ring and The Get Up Kids brought bright, friendly pop tones to the genre, Nothing Gold played to the teenybopper crowd. In light of what emo has become in the past 10 years, though, New Found Glory sounds almost tasteful; the Florida-born band still plays heavy and, at times, even intricate pop-punk packed with earnest sing-alongs. In 2009, NFG released Not Without A Fight, its first album in three years and a return to its exuberant Warped Tour-friendly sound.
