Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sound at Club Garibaldi
Milwaukee native Paul Cebar is a singing, strumming, and dancing museum of musical culture and a self-styled historian of myriad musical forms. Countless sounds pour forth into a new brew when Cebar takes the stage: New Orleans, Chicago, New York, Africa, Brazil, Cuba, jump-blues, gospel, jazz, reggae, calypso, soul, and vintage R&B are starting points for something that becomes uniquely Cebar. This mishmash helps re-imagine and liven up obscure classics, and the band's originals present new viewpoints on established styles. As an added incentive to see him live, Cebar has been selling his new solo acoustic album, One Little Light On, at shows. The record features collaborations with fellow Milwaukee music scene fixtures Willy Porter and Peter Mulvey.
