Semi-Twang and Torn Soul at Shank Hall
Milwaukee’s Semi-Twang got a taste of national success, albeit a modest one, back in the late ’80s, signing with Warner Bros. and releasing the semi-classic Salty Tears in 1988. After that band’s breakup, frontman John Sieger moved to Nashville and found some success writing songs for other artists, but he came back to town years ago and played with various bands. After 23 long years and a handful of well-received reunion gigs, Semi-Twang released a new album, Wages Of Sin, in early 2011.
