A.V. Club: Best of the Decade
  • Lluis Gene

The Riverside Theater

116 W Wisconsin Ave
Milwaukee WI 53203
414-286-3663
All ages $50-$175
  • Fri Nov 13 8 pm,
Steely Dan at The Riverside Theater

It’s tough to think of another jazzy coke-rock outfit that’s had—or ever had a chance of having—the longevity of Steely Dan. Even core members Walter Becker and Donald Fagen seemed to concede the unlikely nature of their union when they named their 2000 comeback album Two Against Nature. Nine years, another album (2003’s Everything Must Go), and several tours later, it appears that Steely Dan is here to stay, and more than willing to give the fans what they want. Speaking of which, the band will visit Milwaukee for two nights to play two of its best albums—1977's Aja gets an airing Friday, and 1976's The Royal Scam follows on Saturday.
