Presented as a heavy-metal spectacle of lasers, pyrotechnics, and Christmas music, Trans-Siberian Orchestra has done little to change the musical aspect of its show over the last 13 years, and for good reason. With 1996’s Christmas Eve And Other Stories serving as the centerpiece of the show, TSO’s pairing of symphonic prog-metal and Yuletide anthems has made it so popular that two separate groups are deployed to tour on each coast to play more shows during the holiday season. As its popularity grows, so does TSO's lightshow and pyrotechnics display. Breaking out the big guns this year with a gas powered "fire screen" capable of creating a pixilated wall of fire up to 8 feet high, TSO plans to draw success in yet another area where Metallica has failed.
