Located in the Third Ward, Wicked Hop might look like an upscale bar, but it works admirably well as a restaurant. Housed in a stunningly high-ceilinged space that includes a date-friendly section of balcony seating, the restaurant features not only sandwiches and wraps (including a half-pound build-your-own-burger option with unlimited toppings), but such out-of-the-ordinary selections as apricot-and-red-chili chicken and grilled pork tenderloin medallions. Use caution when ordering appetizers: An order of nachos could result in an entrée being wrapped to go. Sunday brunch is recommended, but be advised: Limited seating might mean a wait at the bar.
