In his feature-film debut, eager-to-please comedian Carrot Top plays an unsuccessful, young, surfing inventor who, because of a good deed, inherits a fortune from Jack Warden, a successful, dead, surfing inventor. As should be no surprise to anyone who has ever seen Top perform, Chairman Of The Board lacks not only the complexity and sharply drawn characters of the similarly themed Melvin And Howard, it lacks the complexity and sharply drawn characters of the similarly moronic Mac And Me. Like a less sedate Ronald McDonald with the freedom to make nutsack jokes, Top fills his film with the sort of Jungle 2 Jungle-level fish-out-of-water comedy that inevitably involves clumsy sight gags, flatulence sound effects, boob-leering, and angry, corrupt authority figures getting what's coming to them. Will Top run around madly, wearing hellish thrift-store clothing? Will there be numerous jokes concerning his hair? Will the comedian appear nearly nude at one point in the film? Yes, yes, and unfortunately yes. Chairman Of The Board isn't a good movie, but, look, it's a Carrot Top movie. Anyone popping down seven bucks to see it will either know the dangers going in or be too stupid to care.
