Anyone counting the days until Grizzly Bear follows up 2009’s excellent Veckatimest—or at least for Michael McDonald to rerecord the vocals on the rest of the album’s tracks—can sate themselves a bit when bass player/vocalist Chris Taylor hits the road as CANT. Taylor recently released his solo album, Dreams Come True, on his own label, Terrible Records, and is celebrating by hitting the road with a full band. The spacious CANT song “Ghosts” doesn’t sound too far off from the work Taylor has done with Grizzly Bear, so hopefully the album and the tour will fill the time while we wait for the others to finish that album. Meanwhile, Taylor will be in Toronto in late October for a show at Garrison.
