Just Announced Lanky, ethereal Atlas Sound plans North American jaunt

More Just Announced

What’s lanky, vaguely androgynous, and ethereal all over? While Legolas the elf would be a fair guess, we’re referring to the ever-mystifying Bradford Cox. The Deerhunter frontman’s side project, Atlas Sound, just announced upcoming North American tour dates.

Atlas Sound swept over the East Coast in December, but he’ll also flit over to the previously snubbed western side of the continent in the next two months. The tour follows the November release of his most recent album, Parallax, which drove music nerds into dreamy trances—appropriately represented by Cox’s performance in pajamas.
