M83 announce stop at Lee's Palace Nov. 18
More Just Announced
Whether you’re a dedicated follower of the post-shoegaze/dream pop/chillwave movements, or whether you just watch a lot of Top Gear, chances are pretty good you’ve encountered the synth-filled tunes of French act M83. After leaving legions of fans drooling last month with a pretty video teaser for a new album, Anthony Gonzalez—the band’s founder and almost sole contributor—has announced a 20-date North American tour. The first show, set to take place at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City, will mark the reverb-soaked music project’s first live show in two years. And that’s, like, forever in young-people time. No word yet on supporting acts for the tour, or on how big a bus Mute Records will have to charter in order to transport all of Gonzalez’s synths and drum machines.
