Newswire Tune-Yards bandwagon to drift through your town like a feather carried on a breeze of reverb

Now that Merrill Garbus (a.k.a. Tune-Yards) has been certified as a big deal, after 2011’s Whokill made all kinds of year-end lists, a lot of you may be clamoring to see what all of the fuss is about. (Spoiler alert: It’s just a bunch of syncopated rhythm, tape loops, and ukulele with kids in two sweaters sitting in the front row getting all misty-eyed like they’re at the new frontier of music itself.)

But why would you want to take our word for it? Now you can get on the bandwagon yourself as, according to the artist’s website, Tune-Yards is heading out for a summer tour, including a stop at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on Aug. 1.
