First Avenue has been undergoing a few changes recently, and the venue’s marketing honcho and some folks behind the scenes have put together this video showing off what they’ve done so far. The most significant change seems to be that the stairs near the bathrooms on the second floor have been completely removed, and the floor has been extended to that area. This should drastically improve sight-lines, as, you know, there are no longer stairs in the way of the musicians. And there’s more good news: higher capacity! So your chances of being slammed against the pizza bar by some sugared-up youngsters at an Odd Future show has decreased. (Probably not.) Take a look at the video below:
