BAFF! POW! ZOT!: The Minneapolis Indie Xpo is this weekend
More Local Newswire
If you skipped Twin Cities Zinefest and Fallcon, you probably won’t go to this, either. But it’s our job at The A.V. Club to try, dammit! The Minneapolis Indie Xpo is a local (duh) comics convention with the honorable aim of giving Midwestern cartoonists some much-needed exposure. Going into its second year, the Xpo, which actually takes its own name from a comic strip, will be goin’ on for two days down at the Soap Factory—and those two days are tomorrow and Sunday. So, if you have even a vague interest in comics and the like, and if you’re free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. either day this weekend, you may want to consider heading to the most beautiful area in the Twin Cities, attending an event at one of the best art venues around, and seeing some of the most interesting art being produced in a thousand mile radius of our hometown. You especially might want to consider doing that because this event is free. If you need any more convincing, take a gander at the MIX website.
