Built To Spill, Ray LaMontagne announce Minneapolis dates

The hairy-faced gents will touch down at First Avenue and the State Theatre, respectively

Their music couldn't be more different, but Northwest indie-rock mainstay Built To Spill and throaty folk-pop balladeer Ray LaMontagne are united in their love of a good beard. As of today, the two acts also share a consensus view on the viability of Minneapolis as a fall tour stop. Expect BTS leader Doug Martsch to be at his shredding, Santa-faced best when the band lands at First Avenue on Sep. 24, whetting appetites for a new album in October. LaMontagne will show off his own formidable chops—both musical and facial—at the State Theatre on Nov. 13.
