David Sedaris coming to State Theatre Oct. 14
When South Park reruns and YouTube clips of farting dogs no longer provide the kind of soul-lifting laughter Americans so sorely deserve, they can always turn to books as a last resort. And if the actual reading itself is an obstacle, they can turn to David Sedaris, whose live appearances, radio commentaries and audiobooks are often more dependably funny than the raw text. Tickets go on sale this weekend for Sedaris' Oct. 14 appearance at the State Theatre, which is likely to include some wry first-person gems from last year's collection When You Are Engulfed In Flames.
