Elvis Costello joining big-screen edition of A Prairie Home Companion
Elvis Costello will make an appearance on a special edition of A Prairie Home Companion that's being recorded Thursday, Feb. 4 at the Fitzgerald Theater. For the first time ever, the show will be broadcast live to movie theaters around the U.S. and Canada. (Because when the APHC movie came out, people saw Garrison Keillor's mug on the big screen and said, "Yes. More of that!") Other guests on the show include Jearlyn and Jevetta Steele, Heather Masse, and Robin and Linda Williams. Strangely enough, the complete list of participating theaters doesn't include any Minnesota establishments, so if you're without a ticket to the stage show, you'll just have to wait until it's broadcast on the radio in its usual Saturday time slot.
