Gorillaz unveil Escape To Plastic Beach tour dates
Over the last few months, Damon Albarn has revealed the real-life power behind his cartoon band with sets at all the big music fests. But fans who didn't make it out to Roskilde (or Coachella or Glastonbury) can now wait for 2D and company to come to them. Gorillaz' Escape To Plastic Beach world tour features all the multimedia hoopla you'd expect, plus a lineup of Albarn, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon (The Clash), Little Dragon, Bobby Womack, Bootie Brown (The Pharcyde), and London rappers Kano and Bashy. The North American leg of the tour, which kicks off in Montreal, includes an Oct. 17 stop at the Target Center. Tickets go on sale Aug. 13.
