Groovy: Evil Dead: The Musical coming to Minneapolis
More Just Announced
The cabin. The cellar. The woods. The work shed. Minneapolis Musical Theatre will recreate a horror classic when its 2010 season opens with Evil Dead: The Musical this fall. The campy show, which first played in Toronto and Montreal before opening in New York off-Broadway in 2006, features chainsaws, flying limbs, zombies, and a "splatter zone," with accompanying musical numbers like "Evil Trees," "It Won't Let Us Leave," and "Ode To An Accidental Stabbing." Plus, it combines elements of all three movies in Sam Raimi's trilogy, so you get the original film's low-budget gore and Ash being a jerk. No premiere date has been set, but we'll keep you posted.
