Howler announces U.S. tour, wrapping up at Turf Club Oct. 26
More Just Announced
It’s hard to be a band led by a Minnesotan that just graduated from high school. Unless, of course, you’re Howler. The band—which gets plenty of indie blogosphere hype despite still being covered in amniotic fluid—has received increasingly bulging buzz from Britain after NME named the surfy-sounding rockers the third best out of 50 new bands this year. Then came news in July that Howler was The Guardian’s New Band Of The Day. The band just announced its fall U.S. tour, which will begin mid-September in Illinois and wrap up back home in the Twin Cities, followed by a European tour with like-minded rockers The Vaccines. Before all of that hoopla commences, the band still has one date on the books in the Twin Cities, this Friday at Cause. To further demonstrate how young these dudes are, here’s a video they recorded in singer Jordan Gatesmith’s parents’ kitchen. [Via MFR]
