Twin Cities gurls, grab those popsicles and refill those whipped cream bras. Katy Perry is set to turn the Xcel into her own public candyland July 9. A fancy American Express pre-sale begins this Saturday, but tickets go on sale to the general public Jan. 29 at 10 a.m.
Social media fans, Ms. Perry’s there for you. Fans will be able to submit photos via Twitter that will be incorporated into the show. And according to the press release, “Katy has also partnered with I Love All Access to provide a variety of VIP ticket packages, including premium seats, meet and greets, photo ops, pre-show parties, and more.” Start saving those pennies now, tweens.
The date is smack in the middle of her 41-city tour beginning June 7 in Atlanta. Perry will be taking a timeout from her busy (and polarizing) schedule as a semi-professional singing magazine pin-up girl to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards on Feb. 13.
In better music news, Perry’s sister from another mister, Zooey Deschanel, released a new and adorable music video today for her band, She & Him.
