Kevin Smith wants to watch Red State together
The Clerks director is bringing his crazy road show to Minneapolis March 9
In case you missed it, Kevin Smith brought some look-at-me-I’m-crazy-indie-so-go-see-my-movie shenanigans to the Sundance Film Festival this weekend. Smith egged on a protest by the Westboro Baptist Church (upon which his new movie, Red State, is loosely based), started his own anti-promotion protest, and then auctioned off the rights to his movie to himself for $20. It’s all in a day’s work for a fat, masturbating stoner. His words, not ours.
Long story short, the infamous Clerks director announced that Red State will be showing at the State Theatre on March 9. Tickets go on sale on Friday and start at $65, which includes a Q&A with Smith and star Michael Parks, plus “surprise treats.”
