Kramarczuk’s hosting total sausage fest this weekend
If you haven’t gotten your fill of Kramarczuk’s at the State Fair or Target Field, don’t worry; the grill’s still warm. This weekend the sausage shop hosts Kramarczuk’s Kielbasa Festival, its first celebration of Northern and Eastern European heritage. Friday night and all day Saturday, the fest will feature recipe contests, a lineup of traditional European sounds that also includes Romantica and A Night In The Box, and a costume contest, the top prize for which is coronation. Yes, you could be named the Kielbasa King (or Queen). And of course, you are encouraged to eat as much meat as you can handle. (Balance your diet for the day with pierogi, potato salad, and apple strudel.) The $10 admission includes a free commemorative beer stein—filled with beer!—but designated drivers and underage sausage fans can attend for $5.
